Creating New Community Space After Fires in California

@santacruzmountainrealtor One of my favorite places in the Santa Cruz Mountains exists because of something incredibly difficult. 🌸 After the CZU Lightning Complex Fire swept through our mountains in 2020, the property that would become Beeline Blooms in Ben Lomond was left dramatically changed. Trees were gone. Structures and beehives were lost. A place that had once been shaded by forest was suddenly exposed to the sun. So the DeLong family decided to grow something there. They created Beeline Blooms, filling the space with rows and rows of dahlias as a way to bring some color, beauty and joy back to a community that had been through so much. 🌸 And that’s what I love about this place. It’s beautiful, yes, but the story behind it is even better. Sometimes rebuilding a community isn’t only about replacing what was lost.
