A Better Path Forward: Unlikely Partnerships for the Greater Good

Tuesday, June 15 | 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Sponsored by Conrad N. Hilton Foundation

This uplifting conference kickoff envisions a sector that mobilizes unlikely partnerships—especially in times of crisis—to create shared vision and real change. Philanthropic leaders are uniquely positioned to help various stakeholders find what unites them rather than focus on what divides them. In a time of deep divisions, this is a powerful role to play. But how can we create the trust necessary to enable seemingly disparate groups to take action together? A diverse set of residents and public, nonprofit, philanthropic and corporate leaders in Los Angeles were able to do just that to lay forth a bold vision for a more equitable future for their city. Learn what it took to build trust and forge a shared agenda among a set of stakeholders and partners not accustomed to working together. This conversation will explore the challenges and opportunities for philanthropy as we work to create a better future for everyone by seeking common ground.
