“What’s the Wi-Fi password?” is one of the most familiar refrains heard at any convening. Help our participants stay connected throughout Leading Locally by supporting event-wide connectivity and our robust event app that facilitates discussion and features all event sessions, speakers, sponsors, attendees, and much more. The Wi-Fi password can even include your organization’s name. Your support will be recognized where the Wi-Fi information is displayed, including the event app and back of attendee badges.

Get an early start and gather with attendees for conversation over breakfast on Thursday morning. Design a series of discussion questions around a topic, feature a speaker or your staff, provide an opportunity for Q&A about your organization, or see what topic emerges from the group. Legal Matters for Community Foundations
Led by the Council on Foundations Legal Team, this workshop is flexibly organized to ensure that your broad legal questions for administering funds, grants, and community foundation activities are addressed. The legal team will provide technical and practical understanding of the most common legal rules and regulations that inform the day-to-day business decisions and operations of community foundations. This opportunity includes prominent signage at the event, two-minute welcome remarks if of interest to the sponsor, and one complimentary pre-conference registration.

Building a Culture of Dialogue Across Differences
Participants in this half-day workshop will be introduced to Resetting the Table’s celebrated approach to developing the tools to build a culture of productive dialogue on charged issues even in the face of strong differences. Participants exchange views and experiences, learn two core skills for difficult conversations across diverse backgrounds and viewpoints, and leave with increased capacity and confidence to discuss charged issues. The methodology is practice-based and experiential, walking through road-tested exercises participants can replicate in their own philanthropic institutions. This workshop is facilitated by Council staff members who have been trained in Resetting the Table’s methodology. Career Pathways Alumni Homecoming
Since 2011, the Career Pathways (CP) alumni network has surpassed 200 leaders. We are excited for the return of our in-person homecoming at Leading Locally 2027, where participants from across all cohorts will gather! This pre-conference is an opportunity to explore future philanthropic leadership, share challenges and insights, reconnect with peers, and build new relationships across the CP network. This opportunity includes prominent event signage, acknowledgment in event promotions, and verbal recognition at the event.

We strive to keep the cost of event registrations accessible but realize that it is not feasible for everyone. Support participation for leaders who may not otherwise be able to attend due to limited professional development budgets.
