Place Builder Scholarship

The Place Builder Scholarship supports participation for leaders who may not otherwise be able to attend Leading Locally 2025 due to limited professional development budgets. The scholarship will cover the full cost of registration. Travel, meals outside of the event, and accommodation are not included in the scholarship.

Scholarship Criteria

Individuals may apply for a Place Builder Scholarship.
Registration for the event is open to anyone working for an organization eligible for Council membership.
Scholarship recipients must register for Leading Locally 2025; the scholarship may not be transferred to another event.
Preference will be given to individuals and organizations engaged in this work who are from communities that have been underrepresented in the philanthropic sector and individuals from organizations with smaller grantmaking budgets.

Deadlines

Applications are due by January 17, 2025 and recipients will be notified in February 2025.

All applicants who are not awarded a scholarship and who are members of the Council will receive a discount code to register at the early registration price.
