National Community Foundation Networks

CFLeads – Network of community foundations committed to the advancement of community leadership within the field. Provides peer learning opportunities, resources and best practices, research, and an annual convening.

Council on Foundations – Nonprofit member association that serves as a guide for philanthropies as they advance the greater good. Through the Center for Community Foundations, provides professional development, networking opportunities, legal resources, peer benchmarking data and tools through CF Insights, accreditation through National Standards, and advocacy support.

Larger Community Foundations (LCF) Network – Peer network of the 40 largest community foundations in the U.S. by asset size, convening twice a year in-person.

National Center for Family Philanthropy – Network of philanthropic families committed to a world that is vibrant, equitable, and resilient. Through the Community Foundations Family Philanthropy Network, provides peer learning, events, and resources to community foundation staff who work directly with donor families.

Topical Community Foundation Networks

Community Foundation Awareness Initiative (CFAI) – Initiative to educate lawmakers on how community foundations support communities across the country and increase the national media’s understanding of the work of community foundations. Provides communications materials and advocacy support as part of their campaigns.

Community Foundation Climate Collaborative (CFCC) – Network of community foundations committed to addressing climate change and advancing climate justice, originally launched and supported by CFON. Provides collective learning sessions, an annual convening, and resources. Members can join issue-specific and regional networks within CFCC.

Community Foundation Opportunity Network (CFON) – Leadership and action network of community foundations partnering to advance equity, opportunity, and justice. Provides webinars, an annual convening, issue-based cohorts, resources, and leads NEON, an aligned action network.

Connecting Communities in Americas (CCA) - A collective of community foundations and partners across the Americas working together to spark local change through cross-border dialogue, shared learning, and dynamic community leadership. Currently hosted by the International Community Foundation (ICF). Provides peer learning, local research, and other resources.

Role-Based Community Foundation Networks

AdNet – Membership organization for community foundation professionals in fund development, philanthropic advising, and donor services. Provides webinars, peer learning exchanges, forums, resources, a mentorship program, and an annual convening.

CEONet – Network of community foundation CEOs which aims to facilitate peer learning and connections. Provides webinars, research, and an annual retreat.

Finance, Administration & Operations Group (FAOG) – Membership organization that provides education, support and networking opportunities for community foundation finance, administration and operations professionals. Provides resources, forums, educational events, an annual convening, and topic-specific committees and regional groups.

ProNet – Membership organization for community foundation staff and board members interested in program-related issues. Provides webinars, forums, resources, and networking groups.
