The Council on Foundations is excited to partner with Village Capital, an organization that supports entrepreneurs seeking a positive benefit to society, on "Education Impact Day", a day-long series of events in Washington, DC on April 1.

Impact investing is a rapidly growing approach that supports businesses seeking a positive benefit to society, in addition to financial returns. Village Capital, a pioneer in impact investing, has recruited 11 early-stage enterprises improving educational outcomes for under-served students to Washington, DC for a day-long session.

Whether you are interested in learning more about impact investing, or whether you want to learn more about innovative approaches to better educational outcomes, we'd like to invite you to attend one of these sessions:

Education Impact Day

9:30 a.m -12:30 p.m. | Village Capital-EdTech Board Meeting

District Architecture Center | 421 7th Street, NW | Washington, DC 20004

Get to know the next generation of innovators improving educational outcomes for under-served students in an interactive "Board Meeting" format

Village Capital operates training programs for entrepreneurs seeking a positive benefit to society. Village Capital's innovative "Board Meetings" are sessions where investors, foundations, and mentors can get direct exposure to entrepreneurs through a collaborative format. You'll sit on the "board" of a company and help them decide a strategic issue. This is a great way to get to know companies in a collaborative, no-risk environment, and also a chance to lend your deep expertise to budding ventures that will greatly benefit from your advice.
