2017 Annual Conference - Accessibility

Accessibility

Council on Foundations App HomescreenTo further demonstrate its commitment to diversity equity and inclusion, the Council is taking active steps to make the 2017 Annual Conference more accessible for all.

This year, we have developed presentation guidelines for our speaker and presenters and asked them to develop their presentations with a lens on the inclusion of our diverse conference attendee pool.

To maximize the experience of our conference attendees, we are making several changes to the conference this year.  Attendees at the Dallas event can expect to see the following:

  • A conference app which is 508 compliant
  • A select set of conference materials available on USB flash drives for anyone who requests or needs this
  • ASL interpreters
  • Increased signage with regard to the location of hotel elevators.

In addition, recommendations for local restaurants which have been deemed accessible by the local tourism board will be available upon check-in.

The Hilton Anatole, our conference hotel, is in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For a list of features that are available for accessibility needs, please visit the hotel website.

Conference attendees with questions regarding these, or other accommodations, should contact Floyd Mills, our Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
