Community Foundations National Standards Board Announces New Members and Executive Board
Today, the Community Foundations National Standards Board (CFNSB), a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations, announced four new board members.
The CFNSB is a collegial group of professionals from across the U.S. seeking to advance the community foundation field through governing a robust national accreditation program, the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations®, and public policies that enhance a community of philanthropy nationwide. The Council on Foundations actively engages the CFNSB in this national work.
Sharon E. Bisher, President and CEO, Hillsdale County Community Foundation; Rhonda Godwin, Director of Administration and Investments of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation; Monique B. Jones, President and CEO of the Evanston Community Foundation; and Sheila Kinman, Vice President for Development of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, are the newest members to join the board.
“I am extremely excited to welcome our four new members to the Community Foundations National Standards Board,” said Executive Director Christina Gonzalez. “They bring a wealth of knowledge and dedication that will help guide the National Standards Board, but perhaps more importantly, they share a common vision for empowering community foundations with the tools and resources they need to be successful and accountable in today’s ever-changing landscape.”
The new members replace Eric Anderson, Director of Stewardship of The Minneapolis Foundation, whose term recently ended and James “Jim” Williamson, Immediate Past President of the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, who recently retired.
The Board also recently elected a new Executive Committee. Diana Anderson, President and CEO of the Southwest Initiative Foundation, is the new CFNSB President. She succeeds Hazle Hamilton, Executive Vice President of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, who will stay on the CFNSB for one more year. Rebecca Carr, Controller of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation will continue as CFNSB Treasurer. Angela Dethlefs-Trettin, Chief Community Impact Officer of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines is the new CFNSB Secretary.
