PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Update on the ongoing data analysis of veterans needs and VA service priorities (to keep community transition planning anchored in real time data)
  • To learn more about the successful and not-so-successful transition approaches in a selection of different communities
  • To understand “who is doing what” on transition issues, specifically through national collaborations/initiatives with goals of impacting local community transition
  • Peer sharing about the lessons attendees have learned through their investment strategies in community transition and what best practices have emerged
  • To understand what foundations have determined to have not worked in community transition
