                          Dr. Debra Furr-Holden is an epidemiologist and the Associate Dean for Public Health Integration, C.S. Mott Endowed Professor of Public Health, and Director of the Division of Public Health at Michigan State University. She addresses the nation’s greatest health equity challenges, especially among minorities in racially- and economically-segregated communities. Active in the COVID-19 public health response, Dr. Furr-Holden serves on the Michigan Coronavirus Task Force on Racial Disparities, the New York City African American COVID-19 Task Force, and the Greater Flint Coronavirus Task Force on Racial Inequity. Her leadership helped eliminate racial disparities in COVID-19 among African Americans in Michigan.
