For more than 30 years, Kris has worked as a nonprofit executive, strategist, and grantmaker advocating for economic, gender, and racial equity and justice.
Currently, Kris stewards Seattle Foundation’s community impact work, including grantmaking and impact investing to drive positive, just outcomes and scalable investments.
Before joining Seattle Foundation, Kris served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pride Foundation where she led its efforts to catalyze and leverage resources to affect change in communities most impacted by injustices. Prior to that, Kris’ career focused on policy advocacy and systems change in her leadership roles with the National Center for Lesbian Rights, The Rhode Island Foundation, and Brown University.
Kris has a Master of Education in social policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kris is also a shareholder of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
