Liz Cassady

Liz Cassady is a commercial litigator and co-lead of Steptoe's global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) team.  

Liz has successfully defended clients in individual and class actions alleging securities, antitrust, RICO, Commodities Exchange Act, Title VII, and breach of contract claims, as well as claims of fraud and other business torts.  She advises companies and boards of directors on employment issues and workplace culture investigations.

As co-lead of Steptoe’s ESG team, Liz draws on her background as a litigator to assist clients with integrating their ESG strategy, ensuring compliance with applicable and rapidly evolving rules and regulations, and managing associated risks. She collaborates closely on ESG-driven matters with colleagues across offices and practice groups, including chemical and life sciences, energy, international trade and regulatory compliance, and government affairs and public policy.
