Tim Bresnahan

Tim Bresnahan is the senior director of gift planning for The Chicago Community Trust. He is responsible for a broad range of matters including charitable contributions, donor advised funds, supporting organizations, agency endowments and other legal, tax and investment aspects of tax-exempt organizations.

Tim joined the Trust in 2016. Prior to joining the Trust, Tim served as the Associate Director of Philanthropic Advisory Services for Northern Trust. While at Northern Trust, Tim advised individuals and families on philanthropy and wealth planning, and managed the Northern Trust Charitable Giving Program. He is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the Chicago Bar Association, the Advancement Network and the Arts Club of Chicago. Tim is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow, serves on the Board of Directors for the Advancement Network, and is a past President of the Board of Directors for Rivendell Theatre Ensemble.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree from Georgetown University and a JD degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
