Chris Quaka
Benton Community Foundation
President & CEO
For more than two decades, Chris has been on a mission to build stronger communities, partnering with nonprofits to make a real difference. His adventure kicked off with AmeriCorps, where he led dynamic teams of 18-24-year-olds across the country, tackling community service projects and responding to disasters. After making the move to Central Oregon in 2010, Chris joined a regional organization focused on boosting the visibility and funding of their food bank, early childhood education programs, and initiatives to fight poverty. Four years later, he took on a new challenge in Corvallis, leading fundraising efforts to support those experiencing homelessness.
Since 2017, Chris has served as President and CEO of the Benton Community Foundation, guiding BCF to deliver more than $1.88 million in charitable contributions last year. He's surrounded by a passionate team of local leaders who share his vision for improving lives across Benton County.
When he's not making an impact in the community, Chris enjoys life in Corvallis, Oregon with Emily, his wife, and their three kids—Logan, Cady, and Ellie.
