Tim Niyonsenga

Tim Niyonsenga is with the Health Fund as a Senior Program officer and leads caregiver-related initiatives under its Healthy Aging Initiative. In this role, he supports grantmaking related to caregivers of older adults. He is an expert resource on caregiver issues, maintaining knowledge of local, state, and national policies, funding, and programs and the connections among them.

Tim has over 20 years of experience working with older adults as a direct care worker, case worker, senior housing advocate, community educator, and administrator at an Area Agency on Aging. He earned his Master of Social Work from Michigan State University, specializing in gerontology with a focus on organizational and community leadership.
