Ryan Deal

Ryan Deal joined Fairfield County’s Community Foundation in 2022 as Director of Community Philanthropy. In this role, Ryan leads the Foundation’s efforts to attract and engage a diverse coalition of new supporters through community building, learning events, advocacy, and targeted fundraising efforts. Key projects include facilitation of FCCF’s Allies for Equity community, giving circles, and collaborations with faith and civic organizations. 

Previously, he worked for the City of Greensboro, NC as Chief Creative Economy Officer, establishing a new municipal office for arts and culture along with more than ten years working in nonprofit leadership with cultural organizations in Charlotte, NC. This time included several years as Vice President at the Arts & Science Council where he was responsible for a $7M annual grant-making and capacity building portfolio.

Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music studies from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
