Catie Bitzan Amundsen is a trusted legal advisor to many nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Catie focuses on bringing creativity and collaboration to help her clients make intelligent, informed decisions while protecting their organization and its tax-exempt status. She helps philanthropic funders navigate domestic and international grantmaking, corporate governance, tax exemption, compliance with private foundation rules, program-related investments, mergers and acquisitions, and all manner of creative collaborations and public-private partnerships. Catie advises funders who focus on making grants, program-related investments, and other movement of capital and creative initiatives in support of Tribes and Native American communities. Catie is a bridge builder, helping clients grow stronger through connection and collaboration with other organizations. In addition to her work with funders, Catie also represents arts organizations, colleges and universities, environmental initiatives, healthcare organizations, and domestic and international operating nonprofits.
