Elizabeth Demetriou is a certified planner who leads LISC’s national economic development program, directing efforts to revitalize business districts, support entrepreneurs, and strengthen community-based organizations in underinvested areas. She previously served as Deputy Director at the New York Empire State Development Corporation and held key roles at the Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation, where she remains on the Board. Elizabeth also serves on the Board of the Urban Manufacturing Alliance. She holds a Masters in Urban Planning from Hunter College (CUNY) and an Executive Certificate in Economic Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
