Tiffany Benjamin
Humana Foundation
CEO
Tiffany Benjamin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Humana Foundation and a founding force behind Face the Fight, a national initiative launched in 2023 to reduce veteran suicide through evidence-based interventions, philanthropic investment, and coalition-building. Her vision for health equity, centered on eliminating unjust disparities in communities and care—drives the Foundation’s intent that all veterans, especially those in underserved communities, are seen, supported, and cared for.
Under Benjamin’s leadership, the Humana Foundation committed $6 million to help seed the initiative, which now includes more than 300 organizations and has reached over 355,000 lives. The coalition’s work is projected to save 6,500 lives by 2032. Benjamin’s philanthropic approach is rooted in listening first and acting with purpose. She was named to the inaugural TIME100 Philanthropy list in 2025 and received the Council on Foundations’ Outstanding Corporate Philanthropy Leadership Award in 2024. Prior to joining Humana, she led global social impact efforts at Eli Lilly and served as Senior Investigative Counsel for the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee.
A graduate of Harvard Law School and Indiana University, Benjamin chairs the board of the Center for Disaster Philanthropy and teaches at the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Her work continues to shape the national conversation on veteran well-being, equity, and the role of private philanthropy in public health.
