Leila Brammer

Dr. Leila Brammer serves as Director of Curriculum at the Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression at the University of Chicago, where she designs frameworks enabling organizations to engage constructively with diverse perspectives and develop evidence-based solutions.

She established nationally recognized civic learning and engagement curricula, including community-based public deliberation programs that bridge academic and public spheres. She earned multiple institutional, regional, and national teaching awards.

At the University of Chicago, Dr. Brammer advances the Chicago Principles of Freedom of Expression through fostering productive discourse in classrooms and civic life. She collaborates with high schools, colleges, educational organizations, and civic leaders to build capacities for meaningful engagement across differences and disagreements.
