New Funding Opportunity: Scaling Community Foundation Impact in Working Across Differences

As trusted civic leaders, community foundations are uniquely positioned to bring people together to drive shared progress. To support this vital role as civic leaders, a new grant opportunity launching this summer will help community foundations deepen and expand their impact in working across differences. More information will be announced later this summer.

This Council on Foundations initiative is designed to support local philanthropic leadership by providing the funding and tools necessary to design and implement strategies tailored to local communities, including:

  • Direct funding: Financial support to power local work.
  • Capacity building: Wrap-around support and a structured learning journey to develop the heartset, mindset and skillset to work across differences.
  • Peer collaboration: Dedicated spaces to build relationships and share strategies with fellow community foundation leaders.

Whether a community foundation is already leading these efforts or ready to jump-start its role as a civic leader, this program is designed to amplify that work. Participants will also help build support for this work more broadly, as the Council will capture and share cohort stories, case studies, and insights to inspire and instruct the wider field.

Look for an opportunity to apply later this summer.
