Shamsah Ebrahim

Shamsah Ebrahim helps foundations, nonprofits, public institutions, and cross-sector collaboratives navigate complexity, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and increase their impact. As both a consultant and in-house leader, she grounds her work in the conviction that authentic partnership and collective learning are essential for meaningful change. Shamsah has lived and worked across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. She brings a global perspective and deep appreciation for the diverse individuals, communities, and organizations she has had the privilege of partnering with.

Shamsah earned her Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College. A Kenyan immigrant of South Asian descent, she now lives in Northern California. If she isn’t singing (to herself), dancing (around the living room), or building her improv muscles, you can find her by the water with sand between her toes.
