Alexandria Dawson

Alexandria Dawson is the Director of Communications at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, responsible for developing and managing communications, marketing, and public relations efforts for all foundation activities. Alexandria has worked at the Community Foundation for nine years in various roles, which included managing a grantmaking portfolio focused on youth and gender equity, cultivating the next generation of philanthropists, coordinating online giving campaigns, special events management, and digital content creation. Alexandria is committed to co-creating an equitable and vibrant future for Flint and Genesee County, as evidenced by her service on the Boards of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint and the YWCA of Greater Flint. She has given service to the field by serving as an EPIP Michigan Steering Board member, a CMF MCFYP Advisor, and a mentor for the CMF Emerging Leaders Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wofford College.
