Anastasia Ordonez

Anastasia Ordonez is the Director of the Honest Education Action and Leadership Together (HEAL Together) at Race Forward. She has 20 years of experience working on high-profile progressive media and issue-based campaigns for the labor movement, foundations, and nonprofit organizations. 

In addition to helping organizations with their communications planning, Anastasia has directed employee and member communications, strategized on community engagement, trained spokespeople, and worked with coalitions to mobilize support for legislative change. She is a product of public school education and served on her local school boards, the Amherst School Committee and Amherst Regional School Committee, for almost four years, chairing the Amherst School Committee for two of those years.

Anastasia is fluent in Spanish and English, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Rutgers University, as well as a Master’s degree in Women’s & Gender Studies from Rutgers University. She was born in New York City, but has lived on both U.S. coasts and the Dominican Republic.
