Betsy Constantine is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, where she is championing transformative, long-lasting change in Western New York. With a legacy spanning over a century, the Foundation has been a cornerstone in connecting individuals, families, foundations, and organizations with meaningful ways to steward their charitable assets according to their wishes.

Betsy joined the Community Foundation in 2009 when the assets totaled $161 million. Under Betsy’s leadership, the Foundation expanded and deepened relationships with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors. As a result, the Foundation now has more than $900 million in assets and is widely regarded as a powerful, trusted partner in maximizing the impact of philanthropy.

Betsy is an active and impactful member of the community, understanding the importance of giving back. She has served on several boards, including Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Say Yes Buffalo, Child & Family Services, Elmwood Franklin School, and the WNY Women’s Foundation.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Betsy built a solid foundation in the financial services industry, spending 11 years in New York City. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College and a M.A. in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo, equipping her with a unique blend of strategic insight and compassionate leadership.
