Carrie Johnson

Carrie is the Council's Membership Manager. She earned her B.S. in 2012 from James Madison University in Communication Studies with a focus in Interpersonal Communications. While attending college, Carrie found her passion in non-profit work deciding to serve 2 years as an AmeriCorps member teaching English as a Second or Other Language to adult learners and training volunteer teachers and tutors.

Prior to joining the Council, Carrie worked as a Senior Membership Specialist for the Girl Scout Council Nation’s Capital where she established and maintained relationships with Girl Scout members to guarantee membership growth as well as focusing attention on spreading the Girl Scout mission through programming and outreach efforts.

Carrie was born and raised in Northern Virginia, calling Loudoun County her home. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys going to concerts, reading best sellers, attending book festivals, and exploring diverse cultures through food in the DC area.
