Director Center for Entrepreneurship
Cynthia Brown serves as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Reparative Economics Fund at the Louisville Urban League. She joined the League in 2021 as a part of the A Path Forward plan for a more equitable Louisville, and since then, she has worked developing programs to support Black businesses with technical assistance, access to capital, and professional services.
Prior to the Louisville Urban League, she was the director of a micro-business and lending program that focused on business coaching, training, loan assessment and processing, marketing, and business planning for underrepresented founders.
Additionally, Ms. Brown has also been a small business owner and has extensive professional experience in outreach, strategic partnership development, and program and grant management. She is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of the Louisville Independent Business Alliance, LHOME CDFI and volunteering with various community and arts organizations. As a native and current resident of the West End, she continues to be an integral part of the community she has dedicated her career to serving.
