Emily Moses is the Publications and Research Manager at the Council on Foundations. Prior to joining the Council, Emily worked with the youth-serving, literacy-focused nonprofit, 826DC, for four and a half years. While with 826DC, Emily published stories, essays, and poetry by over 200 young authors from the District. Emily received her Master of Fine Arts from American University, and is the former editor in chief of Cafe MFA, FOLIO, and The Shinnery Review. She served as a juror for the 2019 and 2020 Scholastic Awards, and as a panelist for the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities Fellowship Program grants board in 2018. Though originally from Texas, Emily has been making Washington, DC her home for the better half of a decade. She enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
