Erik A. Devereux

Erik A. Devereux, PhD, has consulted to over 30 nonprofit organizations and philanthropies since 2010 including for a consortium of funders in Frederick County, Maryland, that have shared their grantmaking data to identify collective funding gaps. Erik also was the lead consultant for the 2018 Human Needs Assessment in Frederick County, working on behalf of The Community Foundation of Frederick County. Trained in multimethods social research and policy analysis at MIT and the University of Texas at Austin, he has taught at Carnegie Mellon University, American University, and Georgetown University. Erik's latest book, "What Is Your Theory of Change? Restoring Purpose, Efficacy, and Sense to Social Policy Analysis and Evaluation," is forthcoming in 2023.
