Associate Interfaith Chaplain

Heidi De Jonge has been a pastor for over 18 years. Most of those years she served as a congregational pastor, but she began her ministry working with university-age students. Her work has come full circle in her current role as Associate Interfaith Chaplain at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. In addition to this position, she also serves as a chaplain in a long-term care home near Kingston. Heidi received her Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary, and her Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary—focusing her studies and her dissertation on conflict transformation. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, especially at the intersection of loss, grief, and spirituality. Heidi is also a road cyclist, a dog lover, a wife, and a mom to three teenage kids.
