Lawrence McGill

Larry McGill, Ph.D. (he/him), founder and principal of Ambit 360 Consulting, is a sociologist with more than 30 years of multiple-method research experience in the philanthropic, academic, and commercial sectors.  A national expert on philanthropic data, he works with community foundations and others seeking to align their work with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve greater impact and more equitable outcomes. He was VP of research at Candid (formerly Foundation Center) from 2007 to 2020.  He has also held research positions at Princeton University, The Freedom Forum, and NBC News.
