Senior Director, Belonging and Activating For All
As Senior Director, Belonging and Activating For All, at Y-USA, Mike is responsible for building strategies that advance the YMCA's organizational Mission to ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to access and engage with the YMCA; thrive in their communities; and reach their full potential with dignity. In his 31 years with the Y, Mike has worked at the local and international level of the YMCA, before joining the U.S. YMCA's national office in 2005. Under his leadership, Y-USA has innovated and expanded strategic frameworks, leadership trainings, and programs models to better serve the most vulnerable individuals, families and communities including immigrants, families in crisis, disabilities community, and more. He has built an expansive peer learning community among more than 90 YMCAs, focused on strengthening bridging, belonging and community engagement for greater social cohesion. Among other projects, Mike has led and represented Y-USA as a founding partner in the national Team Up Project collaboration between Catholic Charities USA, Habitat for Humanity International, Interfaith America and the YMCA. Mike holds an undergraduate degree from Penn State University, a Masters in non-profit management from DePaul University, and Senior Organizational Leader certifications from YMCA.
