Nageeb Sumar

Nageeb Sumar is President of Liberty Mutual Foundation, where he leads the company’s community investment portfolio strategy. He is responsible for shaping and executing the Foundation’s long-term vision, cultivating strategic partnerships and ensuring Liberty Mutual’s philanthropic investments drive measurable outcomes across the communities it serves.

Sumar has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and institutional philanthropy, helping to drive impact and change on a global scale. In previous roles, he led Social Impact and Philanthropic Strategies at Fidelity Investments and also served as the Deputy Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Sumar holds degrees from Cornell University, Queen’s School of Business and McGill Law School, and currently serves on the boards of Charity Navigator, Social Innovation Forum and the Aga Khan Foundation USA.
