Peter Panepento is the co-founder and managing partner for Turn Two — a social good communications agency that specializes in working with community foundations.
Peter oversees the agency’s work leading a national communications and media outreach campaign for The Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative and provides ongoing communications, strategy, and media relations services to individual community foundations including The New York Community Trust, the Cleveland Foundation, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Humboldt Area Foundation, and the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. He also leads Turn Two’s work with the Community Foundation Opportunity Network’s NEON project.
Peter also provides consulting and media relations services to a diverse array of philanthropic clients, including Philanthropy Southeast, Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Stamford Hospital Foundation, and many others.
Peter began his career as a journalist, including more than a decade covering the nonprofit and foundation world at The Chronicle of Philanthropy, where he managed its online and social-media presence, developed cutting-edge research and data projects such as How America Gives, and launched its webinar series.
Peter is co-author of Modern Media Relations for Nonprofits: Creating an Effective PR Strategy for Today’s World and is the former board chair of the Community Foundation of Howard County in Columbia, Md.
