Phoebe Backler

Phoebe works closely with the Tillotson Fund's long-term community partners in early childhood development, positive youth development, and community building. She has served in her role for eight years. Prior to this, she worked as a community organizer for the Northern Forest Canoe Trail and as an outdoor and environmental educator for Voyageur Outward Bound and the Yosemite Institute. She received her BA in History and a Certificate in the Management of Community Organizations from Tufts University. Phoebe lives with her husband and three sons in northern New Hampshire where they spend free time exploring wilderness by hiking, cross country skiing and biking.
