Joe Seamons and Briar are Seattle‑based musicians and teaching artists whose performances blend American roots music with storytelling, reflection, and community engagement. As a duo, they invite audiences to listen deeply to the cultural histories woven through folk, blues, and jazz, using music as a way to explore connection, identity, and shared experience.

They are part of The Rhapsody Project, a community organization that builds understanding through music, heritage, and an explicit commitment to racial equity. Through performances and educational programs, The Rhapsody Project uses music as a bridge—helping people learn from one another, honor diverse histories, and imagine how we build more connected communities together.
