Tim Geitner
Daniels Fund
Grants Program Officer
Tim Geitner moved to Colorado in 2012 with his wife, Carrie, and two sons while on active duty with the United States Army. Stationed at Ft. Carson, Tim served as a Military Intelligence officer at the battalion and brigade levels after seven years in the Infantry and a deployment to Afghanistan. Falling in love with all Colorado had to offer, Tim transitioned into the Army Reserves where he continues to serve today with over 19 years of service and counting. Tim was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives to represent Colorado House District 19 in 2018. Tim was elected among his peers in 2020 to serve as the Assistant Minority Leader in the Colorado House and served all four years on House Education, the policy area where he is most passionate. In early 2022, Tim decided his focus and attention needed to be on his two sons, 13 and 15, and their homeschooling, alongside his wife, and decided not to run for a third term. In October of 2022, Tim joined the Daniels Fund as program officer working all eight grant funding areas and leads the National Civics Bee effort for the Fund. With his free time, Tim serves on the Liberty Tree Academy school board, a k-12 charter school associated with Hillsdale College, in Falcon school district 49, as Board Chair.
