President & CEO

Winter Kinne is the fourth president & CEO of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks which was founded in 1973. She is responsible to the board to carry out the mission of the CFO to enhance the quality of life through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership in its 62-county southern Missouri region. 

Kinne joined the CFO in June 2005 upon graduation from Drury University where she earned degrees in English and writing. In August 2010, Kinne completed her master's in business administration at Drury. She's held a variety of roles during her tenure at the CFO, most recently as the vice president of development. 

Originally from Mount Vernon, Missouri, Winter is currently a board member for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and Philanthropy Missouri. She is a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning. Winter also co-chaired two successful citizen-led school bond campaigns in 2023 and 2019 for Springfield Public Schools. 

In 2024, Kinne was selected as 12 People You Need to Know by the Springfield Business Journal and received the Missouri Lt. Governor’s Women of Achievement Award. 

Kinne resides in Springfield, Missouri, with her husband, Marshall, and two ornery and fantastic children, Walker and Kate.
