The Community Foundations National Standards Board Announces Its New Members

Today, the Community Foundations National Standards Board (CFNSB), a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations, announced three new board members.

The CFNSB is a collegial group of professionals from across the U.S. seeking to advance the community foundation field through governing a robust national accreditation program, the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations®, and public policies that enhance a community of philanthropy nationwide. The Council on Foundations actively engages the CFNSB in this national work.

Steven Cobb, Vice President and CFO of California Community Foundation, Revlan Hill, Executive Director of The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, and Susie Nelson, Executive Director of Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, are the newest members to join the board.

“On behalf of the National Standards at the Council on Foundations, I want to warmly welcome our new members to the board,” said Executive Director Lara Kalwinski. “They are each incredibly hard working, bringing passion, energy, and talent that will help guide the National Standards Board for years to come.”

The new members replace Eileen Ellsworth, President and CEO of Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, Mark Sidel, Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Jonathon Lorenzo Yorba, Immediate Past President and CEO of The Community Foundation (Riverside California), all of whom have recently finished their terms as board members.

Hazle Hamilton, Executive Vice President of Community Foundation of Central Georgia, will stay on for another term as President of CFNSB.
