Former Member of Congress, Partner
Bob Dold left the United States House of Representatives after serving two terms representing Illinois’ 10th Congressional district. Bob is currently a partner at Forbes Tate Partners, a bipartisan, full-service government and public affairs advocacy firm in Washington D.C.
In Congress, Bob served on the Financial Services Committee and the Ways & Means Committee where he focused on improving access to capital for entrepreneurs and small businesses, delivering commonsense tax and healthcare reform, and tackling poverty and opioid addiction issues plaguing communities across our nation.
Bob has been ranked as one of the most independent and bipartisan Members of the U.S. Congress and is considered one of the most effective at advancing legislative priorities, authoring five bills that were signed into law and seven that passed the House of Representatives. In 2015, The Lugar Center, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit founded by former Senator Richard Lugar released a Bipartisan Index in cooperation with Georgetown University, ranking Congressman Dold the fifth most bipartisan congressman (out of 438) in the 114th Congress.
Bob held several key leadership roles, including serving as Co-Chair of the Tuesday Group, a caucus of moderate Republicans focused on developing pragmatic governing solutions, and was selected by Speaker Paul Ryan as one of eight members to participate in the Speaker’s Advisory Group, which involved weekly strategy discussions with the Speaker in a small group setting.
