The 2017 HR Summit: Achieving Equity in the Workplace, co-hosted by the Council on Foundations and CHANGE Philanthropy(link is external), was a unique opportunity to learn how to make attendees' foundations — and philanthropy as a whole — more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Want to attend this year? Visit the 2018 HR Summit page.

During this convening, attendees had engaging, intimate conversations led by field experts focused on:

  • Public and Personal Personas: How to develop and implement policies and practices that balance individual and institutional expression and concern
  • Codification of Culture: How to navigate employment law while creating an inclusive culture
  • Evolving Evaluations: Developing and implementing performance management that celebrate diverse talent and address equity investment
  • Managing Change: How to support operational change towards inclusive environments and equity practices

All programming for this dynamic convening was curated by Council and CHANGE Philanthropy(link is external) staff in collaboration with a working group of foundation leaders.

The HR Summit is open exclusively to HR leads of foundations with 15 or more employees — and limited to 50 attendees.

The HR Summit is made possible thanks to our co-host:
