Give2Asia's Response to COVID-19

Give2Asia launched its Coronavirus Response Fund on January 23, 2020 with a focus on China, and has since expanded the effort to serve all 23 countries where Give2Asia works in the Asia Pacific region. We are working with in-country health and aid organizations that have national or sub-national programs, and which are working in close cooperation with affected communities. Give2Asia has developed a three-pronged approach to the pandemic that includes: 1) supporting frontline health workers through medical supplies, food, subsidies, mental health treatment, and other services; 2) addressing critical food and health needs of vulnerable groups such as migrants, elderly, wage workers, and others, and; 3) meeting mid- to long-term needs such as livelihood support, psychosocial treatment, and health system strengthening.

The fund includes $20 million in grants to 72 organizations in 23 countries (Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam).
