Recommendations to Strengthen DAFs presented by the COF Strengthening Community Philanthropy Ad Hoc Working Group

Community foundation executives were invited to join a peer roundtable conversation to learn more about new recommendations for community foundations and our sector, related to donor-advised funds (DAFs).

David Kass, Council on Foundations, shared the DAF policy recommendations resulting from an ad hoc working group of 11 community foundation CEOs, convened by the Council on Foundations over the last six months.

This CEO Roundtable focused on:

  • Learning about the recommendations that were developed by the Working Group,
  • Asking questions about the recommendations and provide feedback, and
  • Hearing about the proposed next steps.

Additional perspectives from leaders will be sought throughout the roundtable with direct involvement. Please be prepared to share video for better engagement within the platform Zoom.

Conversation Starters:

  • David Kass, Vice President, Government Affairs, Council on Foundations
  • Kristi Knous, President, Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines
  • Walker Sanders, President, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, Inc.
  • Heather Peeler, President and Chief Executive Officer, ACT for Alexandria
  • Debbie Wilkerson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Greater Kansas City Community Foundation
