Mahmoud Ramadan

Mahmoud Ramadan is a Portfolio Manager on the economic opportunity team at Google.org, Google’s philanthropy. He helps lead U.S. grantmaking and outreach for Google.org’s $50M Work Initiative, a two-year initiative to understand the forces that are changing the nature of work and to invest in nonprofits helping people to adjust to those changes. Previously, he managed Google’s partnerships with media agencies in the Middle East and North Africa, and led various initiatives focused on finding tech-based solutions to counter hate speech online.Maya Perkins is strategic initiatives manager at Facebook, focusing on transportation, housing and economic opportunity. Before Facebook, she was Executive Director of Bay Area Forward, a non-profit that supports resident-led good growth groups. Maya also served as Senior Legislative Aide to San Mateo County Supervisors. She holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a J.D. from Santa Clara University Law School.
