Akilah Massey

Akilah Massey is vice president of programs at Grantmakers for Effective Organizations where she works on program development and design. She brings over a decade of experience creating programs and convenings for grantmakers and oversees GEO’s programmatic work including conferences, content development and delivery, and peer-to-peer learning.

Before joining GEO, she developed programming at Exponent Philanthropy, including a conference highlighting the connections that sustain philanthropic work, and fleshed out the organization’s technology content area, writing articles, blog posts and building programs. She also collaborated with grantmakers and colleague organizations to design workshops and online programming improving the effectiveness of grantmakers.
