Chris Ellis is the program officer for healthy children and adults at The Pittsburgh Foundation. In this role, Chris responds to applications for funding and builds relationships with organizations working to support the basic needs of individuals with a focus on child care. He has supported a process at the Foundation to embed racial justice in the organization’s grantmaking and throughout its various departments and facilitated convenings to provide space for community partners to connect and share resources. Chris also works on initiatives at the Foundation, including the Single Women Raising Children initiative and the Small and Mighty Grants program.
