A Winnett, Montana native, Laura Nowlin returned home to the family ranch with her husband and two children in 2012 after a 10-year absence. In those 10 years, Laura attended Montana State University – and earned a bachelor’s degree in History and went on to the University of Oregon where she received a master’s degree in Historic Preservation. She and her husband, Levi, moved to Cheyenne, WY, where Laura worked for the WY State Historic Preservation Office. They have two children, Jack and Anna, both born in Cheyenne before moving back home to the ranch. Laura and Levi now run a cow-calf operation on her family’s ranch. She worked for nine years as the coordinator for the Musselshell Watershed Coalition and is a founding member of the Winnett ACES (Agricultural Community Enhancement and Sustainability). She currently serves as the Operations Coordinator for the Winnett ACES.
