Understanding the ALICE Reports

September's Community Foundation CEO Roundtable intended to provide a range of information and discussion on a key population that community foundations are increasingly asked to serve — Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE). The panel talked about what Statewide ALICE reports address and where to find this information, even if your state does not participate in the ALICE program. Our speakers discussed how data is used for workforce connections, collaborative partnerships, measuring impact, and how their community foundations are engaging the broader community to resolve some of these critical issues for a workforce with limited means.

The conversation focused on:

  • What role does philanthropy play in addressing the challenges identified in the ALICE reports?
  • How can Community Foundations enhance workforce connections to improve economic conditions for individuals?
  • How can we foster partnerships between Community Foundations, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to better address the needs of those highlighted in the ALICE reports?
