Angel Andres Costeño Barrera

Originally from Yucatan, Angel now resides with his wife and two children in Flamboyanes, Progreso, Yucatan. He is currently pursuing a certification as an emergency medical technician with the Mexican Red Cross. He is a community health promoter and responsible for the communication function of Avanza - Promotores Unidos por Flamboyanes AC, an organization of which he is also an advisor.

He collaborates with the Center for Crime Prevention and Citizen Participation of Yucatan (CEPREDEY), as local liaison to carry out the activities of the "Communities Building Peace" programs in Flamboyanes.

Training as a community promoter led him to discover his passion for social projects and the power to promote and accompany positive changes in the community, in collaborative work with other actors.
