Anne Kubisch
The Ford Family Foundation
President & CEO Emeritus
Anne Kubisch has worked in philanthropy for over 40 years, most recently as President and CEO of The Ford Family Foundation, where she stepped down in September 2023 after ten years of service. Anne helped establish the foundation as a nationally recognized advocate for rural communities that has provided thousands of community development grants and scholarships to students in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County in California. She’s also set up the foundation for future success, leading the development of a 10-year strategic plan for 2022-2032.
Prior to The Ford Family Foundation, Kubisch worked for 19 years at The Aspen Institute in New York, an international non-profit leadership development and policy studies organization. She founded and served as director of the Aspen Roundtable on Community Change, a national resource center that gleans lessons about how to improve outcomes for low-income children, families, and neighborhoods, and advises policymakers, funders, and practitioners on strategies for promoting vibrant and equitable communities. Anne also worked for 10 years at the New York-based Ford Foundation on poverty, health, human rights, and economic vitality programs in Latin America and Africa, including serving three years as the Ford Foundation representative in Lagos, Nigeria.
Kubisch holds a master’s degree from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tufts University.
